It’s been a hectic couple of months, but so enjoyable!
We’ve held a boudoir-a-thon, converted our apartment into a photographic studio and embraced nature! We’ve reduced one of our customers to tears of joy, and another says the whole experience has changed her outlook on life!

In October we will run a competition for you to win a boudoir session (for you and a friend) worth over $2000, to include full pampering!

Engagement shoot with Anna and Paul

We’d arranged to shoot Paul and Anna’s engagement session earlier, but a certain volcano in Iceland had put a stop to that – Paul was stranded in the UK…

So a few weeks later we got together for what was to be a long fun day! We started the shoot in Mountain View with coffee at the Dana Street Roasting Company where Paul and Anna first met. We had a gloriously warm day so sat outside at a table on the sidewalk and chatted, sipped and of course photographed. Coffee, kissing and cuddling – what a great way to start a Sunday!

Our day continued with a visit to the couple’s favorite vineyard, Burrell School Winery in the Los Gatos Mountains for a little wine tasting (OK, so we also bought a few bottles!) What a great spot right on our doorstep – fabulous wine, amazing views and a lovely relaxed atmosphere.

From here we travelled to the wedding venue – Mullin’s Bar and Grill at the Half Moon Bay Golf Links so we could have a look at the location and get some sunset pictures. After our guided tour of the site on a golf buggy (can’t wait to see Anna driving this in her wedding dress on the big day!!!), we managed to get some dramatic shots as the very dark clouds overhead threatened…

And to end a perfect day… dinner at Half Moon Bay’s charming and intimate Pasta Moon. Not a typical engagement shoot – but excellent fun!

Joy of Black and White!

We just love Black and White!
On more than one occasion, we’ve thought about limiting our output to just B&W, but the world is too colorful for that.
This post is just an excuse to post some B&W pictures we love from recent work. These started life as 21MP color digital files, but have our secret B&W conversion process, plus layers of grain added to mimic B&W printing techniques. Hmmm, probably too small to see on the blog – ho hum.

Engagement shoot with Fresia & Brandon

Fresia and Brandon took us to the Carmel Coastline and the Carmel Mission for their engagement shoot. We suggested late afternoon to capture the amazing sunset at Carmel Beach. Of course, rarely do things go to plan – we were shrouded in an icy mist!!! But how well the photographs look – ethereal and romantic.

Can’t wait to shoot the wedding of this beautiful couple in November!

So excited to be shooting Antonija and Hrvo’s wedding in October. Such a joy to work with!
Their engagement shoot took place in super-diverse San Francisco, and the gorgeous Kenwood Inn, Sonoma. We had an excellent session, with Antonija and Hrvo being great fun, no matter what we asked of them! We are truly lucky photographers to have such wonderful clients.
